The teams currently sitting in the two Wild Card positions in the NFC meet tonight on Monday Night Football http://www.thepackersfootballauthentic.com/bryan-bulaga-jersey-authentic , as the 5th-place Seahawks face the 6th-place Vikings. Neither team will drop out of playoff position with a loss in this game, but the winner will take a lead for the fifth seed. With a morass of underachieving 6-7 teams (and one at 5-7-1) all battling for position behind these two teams, tonight feels like a game where the winner will all but lock up a postseason berth. The Packers are that 5-7-1 team, and they need some help from the three 6-7 teams ahead of them to make this a race. But besides Green Bay’s own remaining games, the real test is seeing three more losses from one of the two teams that play tonight. The easiest route to making that happen is for tonight’s loser to drop two of their remaining three games.Tune in tonight to see who takes a firm grip on a playoff spot and who falls back into the pack that sits squarely on the postseason bubble.WHO?Minnesota Vikings (6-5-1) vs. Seattle Seahawks (7-5)WHEN?Monday, December 10th, 20185:15 PM Pacific Time (8:15 PM Eastern)WHERE?CenturyLink FieldSeattle, WashingtonHOW?TV Broadcast: ESPNOnline Streaming: ESPN.com or ESPN appCommentators: Joe Tessitore, Jason Witten, Anthony McFarland Womens Lane Taylor Jersey , Lisa SaltersRadio Broadcast: Westwood One SportsANYTHING ELSE?OddsSeahawks favored by 3 pointsOver/under total: 46Last MeetingsRegular Season: Week 13 2015 — Seahawks 38, @Vikings 7Postseason: 2015 Wild Card — Seahawks 10, @Vikings 9All-Time Head-to-Head RecordRegular Season: Seahawks lead 9-5-0Playoffs: Seahawks lead 1-0Could Nick Perry’s injury be a blessing in disguise for the Packers? “Here we go again.” When reports surfaced Wednesday Nick Perry would start training camp on PUP with an ankle injury, that had to be the thought bounding through the heads of most Packers fans. Perry, an exceptional talent who could be dominant if he could stay healthy, hadn’t practiced a snap in camp—hell, camp hadn’t even opened—and he was already hurt. The PackIRs strike again, right? But then we heard the injury wasn’t serious and shouldn’t stop him from playing once the season opens. Assuming that’s true, Perry’s injury might actually help the Packers. At this point in his career, Perry doesn’t need the training camp reps or the preseason work. Model behavior for young players http://www.thepackersfootballauthentic.com/david-bakhtiari-jersey-authentic , give opposing offensive linemen a credible opponent in practice, and he’s done his job. For as often as he’s hurt, Perry keeps his body in impeccable physical condition. The former USC Trojan is built like he was created in Madden. Playing himself into shape shouldn’t be a concern. When he’s healthy, he’ll be ready to go. Instead, Perry can still be on the sidelines, still be at practice helping out the younger players who will now get a chance to run with the starters. Perhaps Kendall Donnerson will have a chance to run with the 2’s instead of the 3’s a little bit more. These kinds of distinctions matter a great deal to a team on the verge of not having enough pass rushers off the edge. Mike Pettine’s history provides a roadmap for managing a defense with sub-par edge talent and Clay Matthews still has plenty of game left, but he’s hardly the paragon of health either. Getting players like Vince Biegel, Reggie Gilbert, Chris Odom, and yes http://www.thepackersfootballauthentic.com/nick-perry-jersey-authentic , even Kyler Fackrell to run with the ones, learning Pettine’s system and growing with valuable live reps, means invaluable player development opportunities. On the margins, guys like Donnerson and Naashon Hughes will get more practice reps and potentially more snaps in preseason simply because there’s one less body in camp. Perry never needed those reps in an important way, which means giving them to other players serves as an essential evaluation tool for the Packers as well as a growth opportunity for the players. With training camp reps so precious, particularly early in training camp with the ballooned rosters, every snap matters. Even if it’s just 10% more, that difference could very well be enough for a player to flash just enough to make the next cut where they’ll get even more opportunity to show their talent and grow their game. Perry’s injury should still give Packers fans pause about his overall health. Perhaps a superstitious type would suggest it’s better to get this one out of the way early (that’s not a thing by the way). His inability to stay healthy has revealed perilously thin depth at outside linebacker in the past. Don’t be surprised to see Brian Gutekunst peruse the free agent market after some of these pre-season cuts to try and bolster the unit. Counting on Nick Perry and Clay Matthews to combine for 32 regular-season game would be a fool’s errand. But that’s a long-term problem. In the short term, the Packers will be able to take advantage of Perry’s absence to boost the development of young players who will inevitably have to play meaningful snaps for this defense in 2018.

We take a position-by-position look. The Colts are making more roster moves Womens Jabaal Sheard Jersey , and again it seems like injuries might be the driving factor. They have signed veteran safety Mike Mitchell to the roster and have yet again waived cornerback Lenzy Pipkins.Mitchell is 6’1”, 221lbs, and has played in 137 NFL games. At 31 years old, he will be one of the oldest players on the roster and comes with both significant playing experience http://www.indianapoliscoltsteamonline.com/margus-hunt-jersey , and a reputation among football fans as being a “dirty” player. He will provide a veteran presence in the back of the Colts defense and is somewhat atypical of the kind of player Chris Ballard has generally brought in. Pipkins finds himself looking for work yet again, as the Colts have treated him much like a yo-yo this season. Arriving in Indianapolis via the trade with Green Bay which sent Antonio Morrison to them, Pipkins has been back and forth from the practice squad and active roster, getting playing time on Thursday against New England in which he had 9 tackles. It is a safe bet that if he clears waivers http://www.indianapoliscoltsteamonline.com/nate-hairston-jersey , he will find his way back to the Colts’ practice squad. The concerning thing about this move is what it says about the Colts’ safety position. Both Clayton Geathers and Matthias Farley left the game Thursday with injuries, Geathers specifically with a concussion and neck injury. That has been the predominate issue for Geathers with staying healthy and it is certainly no small thing to see that he is dealing with it again. Neck injuries are a big deal, and the style that Geathers plays makes it inevitable that this will be a recurring problem. We have not yet received news that says definitively that this is the reason for this particular move, but with two safeties out and a starter seemingly having re-aggravated a preexisting injury Authentic Quincy Wilson Jersey , it seems likely.
  9. The last time Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry practiced for the team was August 11 in St. Joseph http://www.chiefscheapshoponline.com/cheap-authentic-kendall-fuller-jersey , Missouri—78 days ago at the time of this writing.Eric Berry linksEric Berry held out of practice leading up to first game (Sept. 6)Eric Berry could practice this week (Sept. 17)Eric Berry has a Haglund’s deformity on his heel (Sept. 29)Chiefs “confident” Eric Berry will play this season (Oct. 14)Since then, the Chiefs have played eight regular-season games, and despite Berry missing them all, the team stands at 7-1.When asked about Berry, the team has maintained that he is “literally day to day” with a sore heel. The only other real update we’ve received has been from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, who revealed the Chiefs safety has a Haglund’s deformity on his heel in late September. Considering Chiefs owner Clark Hunt is the one responsible for paying out Berry’s six-year, $78 million deal, I thought it was worth asking if he had any additional insight on the mysterious situation during his mid-year check in on Monday afternoon.“It’s no different than what you’ve heard from Andy (Reid) or Rick Burkholder,” Hunt said. “It literally is day to day. I do know that nobody’s working harder at his rehab than Eric. Eric is a young man who loves the game of football and wants to be out there on the field, and as soon as he feels that he’s ready, he’s going to be out there.”Hunt was then asked if it is an expectation that Berry would play this season. Hunt wouldn’t say that. “You know, I really don’t have an expectation,” he said. “That’s a decision that Eric, along with our medical staff going to have to make and I don’t want to step in front of that.”Chiefs vs. Jaguars: How the Chiefs defense beats Jacksonville It’s Friday at Arrowhead Pride http://www.chiefscheapshoponline.com/cheap-authentic-cameron-erving-jersey , so we’re moving on from the victory over the Denver Broncos, and moving on to the Kansas City Chiefs’ matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 4!Most headlines this week will be dominated by the Chiefs’ league-best offense against the vaunted Jaguars defense, but it’s the other side of the of this matchup that might be where the game is really decided — boasting a run-heavy offense and a short passing game, the Jaguars match up well with where the Chiefs are weakest. So like every week, I went down to The Laboratory to take a look at what the opposition’s offense looks like, some matchups and tendencies that they like to exploit and what the Chiefs defense can do to try to stop them on Sunday. The Jaguars offenseReinhold Matay-USA TODAY SportsNo longer just a punchline from The Good Place, quarterback Blake Bortles has had a decent start this year, averaging 273 yards a game passing — with seven touchdowns and three interceptions. However, he’s been more miss than hit on the road in the regular season in the past couple seasons, averaging just 91 yards passing with 0.77 touchdowns and one interception per game. At running back, the Jaguars will be without starter Leonard Fournette, but they still have a capable back in T.J. Yeldon. While he doesn’t quite have the same balance or ability to break tackles, Yeldon catches the ball well and hits the hole with speed. Jacksonville will mix in a heavy dose of Corey Grant as well.We should expect to see a ton of carries from the Jaguars backfield. At wide receiver, the Jaguars feature former Indianapolis Colts receiver Donte Moncrief — a productive pass catcher — and 2017 undrafted free agent Keelan Cole Cheap Terrance Smith Jersey , who is a solid route runner with good hands. In the slot, Dede Westbrook does a lot of damage underneath attacking the center of the field. While it’s not the most talented group the Chiefs will face this year, all of them are solid in their individual roles. At tight end, the Jaguars use a number of two tight end sets with Austin Seferian-Jenkins and former Chief James O’Shaughnessy. Jenkins is the better pass catcher, but O’Shaughnessy has found success finding the seams in the zone this year. Third tight end Niles Paul may also see some targets out of 13 personnel as well. The Jaguars offensive line added Andrew Norwell from the Carolina Panthers this offseason to bolster their interior. Brandon Linder and A.J. Cann round out the rest of a good interior. Josh Wells and Jermey Parnell are unknown names that have had some success this year but will be lined up opposite their biggest test of the year in Justin Houston and Dee Ford. How to defendExploiting the middle of Cover 3 zoneI regularly pick on the Chiefs for not taking care of their zone responsibilities, and the Jaguars will try to do so as well. They picked apart the New York Jets Cover 3 looks last week with lots of clear-out routes and varying crossing depths. On this play, the Jaguars utilize multiple stressors to pull players out of position. The play action keeps both of the hook defenders in the box, reading the running back. Both outside receivers run 9 routes to clear the boundary defenders. After the play action, both players lined up in the backfield run routes into the flats. The slot receiver runs a dig with acres of space to work. The hook defenders aren’t able to gain enough depth to take away the throw due to the run action freezing them initially, the apex defenders aren’t able to get more depth on their zones due to the routes in the flats, and the boundary corners have to respect the vertical routes. The deep safety doesn’t have a chance to make a play on this pass either, due to his depth. That’s fantastic play design attacking the hole in a Cover 3 shell. The Jaguars will attack the underneath zone as well. This play is designed to get the boundary wide receiver in space by running a clearout with the field receiver and having the two tight ends run a curl/slant combo to occupy the hook defenders. The result is a rub/pick by the near tight end — with no apex defender to cover the field flat and the boundary corner having to run with the wide receiver. The Jaguars do a great job scheming receivers open and finding the weak spots in the zone defense when teams feel like they have to deploy it. The Chiefs haven’t done well with flowing and passing in their zone responsibilities as it is, so expect Jacksonville to target the center of the field with digs and crossers to exploit the space left behind by stressing these zone defenders. From the Chiefs’ perspective, the hope would be to run the preferred man coverage schemes to try to press — thereby throwing off the timing off on the underneath crossing routes Dee Ford Jersey , and denying Jacksonville the opportunity to scheme holes in the zone.Misdirection and RPOsJacksonville isn’t necessarily a team with an innovative offense, but they like to toss in enough creativity to force defenses to respect all their looks. Here’s a fun RPO that they threw at the New England Patriots a couple weeks ago.Out of 21 personnel in a 3x1 alignment, they line Grant up as the back man in a bunch formation with Yeldon next to Bortles. Grant circle motions behind Bortles while he reads the Patriots strong-side defensive end.If the defensive end stays wide and tracks Grant, Bortles will hand the ball off to Yeldon on the outside zone run. If the defensive end collapses on the run, Bortles will pull the ball and throw the swing pass to Grant. The defensive end collapses and the Jaguars offensive line is hat-for-hat blocking to that side of the field, springing Yeldon for a giant gain. It’s an excellent play call that forces lighter boxes or open receivers and really puts the defense in a bind. In this scenario, the defense has to win a matchup on the weak side to stop this play, as they don’t have the numbers. The weak-side defensive end or tackle needs to gain penetration or delay a second level block while the linebacker beats the guard to the gap to stop the run.Bortles windupBortles has always had a long throwing motion, but he’s been working on it this year. Still... it’s long enough to anticipate and jump the throw in the front. Here, Avery Williamson stunts on his blitz, but the offensive line picks up the stunt. He knows he’s not getting home on the rush, so rather than continuing to engage the center and make no progress, he drops into the throwing lane, sees Bortles slow windup Cheap Xavier Williams Jersey , and gets his hands in the lane to bat the ball into the air. This results in an easy pick for the Jets secondary.Sutton should be stressing this long throwing motion this week — and keying on it — with his pass rushers. While the outcome might not be as fortunate as this play, batted balls and occupying those lanes may cause Bortles to hold the ball a beat longer, allowing the Chiefs pass rush to get home more regularly. The bottom lineWhile Bortles and the Jacksonville offense don’t exactly strike fear into the hearts of most defenses, their game plan is not a good matchup for the Chiefs defense. The Jaguars have a proven willingness to stick with the run and take the air completely out of the game — something that the Denver Broncos did well against the Chiefs defense this last week. The Jaguars will stick with it, too.The Jaguars also attack the areas of the Chiefs defense that are poorest in coverage — crossing routes from wide receivers, tight ends up the seams and running backs in the flat. If the Chiefs defense does find a way to get themselves in good down and distance situations, the Jaguars may still be able to dig themselves out with these kinds of passes. The Chiefs need to lean on their man defense as much as possible this week, and press to disrupt some of these timing routes. The Chiefs edge rushers have been ramping up the pressure over the past couple of weeks, and Bortles will take some silly sacks instead of throwing the ball away. If Dee Ford is a full go this weekend, I think we could see him do some damage to the Jacksonville passing game.If the Chiefs can stop the run on early downs (please tackle) and force Bortles and company into throwing more, they’ve got a shot to stop the Jaguars offense — one that hasn’t been great away from home — and give the ball back to the Chiefs offense.

I’m assuming since this is “notes,” I can jump straight to my isolated insights instead of giving an overall game reaction. I will provide two overall reactions. The NFL app from verizon is complete heartless unethical bottom-of-the-barrel soggy garbage. I avoided social media, the internet, and unneeded human interaction all day so I could watch the game fresh when I got home. I need to switch cell providers. This game was not as discouraging as I thought it would be when I saw the Bears only scored 14 points. That’s my BiscuitMitch Trubisky saw a lot of pressure in the first half, and he continued to show off his ability to slip away and extend the play. This was most impressive with a long first down conversion rolling right and throwing to...Taquon Mizzell. Overall Womens Aaron Lynch Jersey , Trubisky moved the ball better than expected in a 14 point offensive outing and his stat line shows an extremely efficient 86% completion percentage at 8.5 yards per attempt. Mitchel, noooooI’m going to hope that Trubisky saw the holding penalty and knew he could take a risk on his negated pick. Except the throw didn’t seem risky in that there wasn’t a clear upside. He just tossed it at a 49er. He was clearly rushed after escaping pressure and misread something. I want to see him stop making mistakes, and that’s unrealistic. He’s still inexperienced. I’ll forgive him for now. That’s our BiscuitThe Bears wasted no time rallying to their quarterback after a late-game late hit on their sliding quarterback. In retrospect, Marcell Harris hit Trubisky with his chest, and it looked like a stupid decision rather than a dirty one. But it looked bad in the moment and the Bears were ready to get unnecessarily violent for their young leader. Their hearts were definitely in the right place.Bears defense racking up the pre-sacksThey didn’t “technically” hit home often—Roquan Smith logged the solo official sack—but they scooped up 6 QB hits and innumerable hurries that forced Mullens into so dangerously slopped throwaways. I love that he’s role is increasing at the ripe old age of 31 after looking like a career special-teamer. He’s certainly rewarding the Bears for giving him the opportunity.Joe Staley did his name proud todayThe 49ers tackle did a large part of helping keep Khalil Mack sackless today. Only Staley da Bear could have done better. Thank you Joe for not besmirching the Decatur Staleys or our beloved Bears mascot.I underestimated Jordan Howard’s role in this gameAnd am delighted to have been proven wrong. Love to see that Bear prouncing around getting work. Nagy still seems overly cautious of diminishing returns when Howard is producing well, and he seems to be pulled out of the game plan for too many plays in a row for my liking. Does Nagy not remember that I spent two seasons looking at him as the brightest light of hope in a depressing offense? Does he not know that watching Howard rumble through failed tackles is like a warm blanket for Bears fans? Can’t trick a simpleton gold-pannerSpeaking of taking Howard off the field. When you run a trick play hoping to draw the defenses attention by faking a QB run then pitching to Tarik Cohen, the defense has to notice Trubisky running. These 49ers clearly know how to avoid tricks by not paying attention to such distractions. When their plan is to run at Tarik Cohen no matter what, no trick play going to Tarik Cohen is going to work. 9 points for #9Parkey 0. Gould 9. I have nothing more to say about that.Allen Robinson is a wonderful WR1 not getting enough attentionThis offense spreads the ball to a number of terrific playmakers. Lost in the mix is that Robinson is living up to his billing as a complete elite wide receiver, delivering crisp routes and clutch catches every week. He won’t ever lead the league in yards on this team Youth Eddie Jackson Jersey , but he’s a crucial cornerstone of this offense who deserves to be valued as such. Also, anyone see that diving catch? Gorgeous.Mizzell starting to show me why the Bears believe in himHe showed some shifty moves on a long return and then caught a deep sideline pass from Trubisky. He’s still growing, but maybe he can turn into the productive versatile Cohen-light the Bears want him to be.Remember Joel Iyebuniwe? The fourth-round pick hasn’t done a lot this season, but I guarantee you Ritchie James won’t forget him. Iggy absolutely destroyed little Richard on a kickoff return taking a perfect line and leveling the poor return-specialist without losing momentum. I have high hopes for this young man.Welcome back to offense Anthony Miller?I’m not 100% sure why Miller took an offensive break for the past few weeks—he only had one catch for only one touchdown over the past three games. He tripled that today with three catches (still only one touchdown) and one savagely graceful open-field run for great YAC.Hicks continues to paw his way into my heartHis two pawed balls in the first quarter were so bear-like, even the announcers couldn’t avoid referring to his hand as a paw. His third was the most impressive, leaving no chance of a salvaged play. He led the team in passes defensed today. The score wasn’t impressive http://www.bearsfootballauthentics.com/akiem-hicks-jersey-authentic , but the Bears were clearly the better team on the field today. San Francisco played hard made some good plays, and the Bears made some sloppy mistakes, and the game stayed close until the end. But the Bears stayed on the field being better than the other team and eventually that ended in a win. We’re going to see a more complete performance if the Bears want to win against the Vikings or in the playoffs, but this underwhelming victory doesn’t discourage me about their potential. The NFL has announced the week 17 schedule for all the December 30 games and the Chicago Bears have been flexed to the 3:25 p.m. Central time slot. They’ll now take on the Minnesota Vikings at the same time that the Los Angeles Rams will be playing the San Francisco 49ers. NFC Playoff scenariosIf the Vikings win their home finale they will get into the playoffs. The Rams need an win in their home finale to lock up the number two seed in the NFC. If the Rams lose, and the Bears win, then the Bears will claim the second seed in the NFC and the first round bye in the playoffs. If the Vikings lose and the Eagles win Youth Roquan Smith Jersey , the Eagles get the 6th seed and the Vikings will join the Packers on vacation. The Seahawks have clinched a wildcard spot with their win on SNF. AFC Playoff scenarios If the Ravens win they take the fourth seed and the AFC North title. A Ravens loss and a Steelers win will give Pittsburgh the AFC North championship. The Sunday night game will feature the Indianapolis Colts traveling to play the Tennessee Titans with the winner locking up a playoff spot and the loser going home. On Sunday night, NBC got 8 percent more viewers than last year.” Baker Mayfield isn't campaigning for Lincoln Riley. The rookie quarterback isn't dismissing the possibility his former coach joins him in Cleveland either.Mayfield said Wednesday that he believes Riley is prepared to move from Oklahoma into the NFL, but he would also understand if the 35-year-old wants to remain at one of college football's most successful programs."Lincoln's been ready, it's just who he is and how he coaches and the respect level he's had from all of his players, how detailed he is Cleveland Browns Hats ," Mayfield said. "Yeah, he's ready but that's his decision and you know what, he's got something special there, so I don't think anybody is going to blame him if he stays there for the next 20 years."Riley has been linked as a possible candidate to be Cleveland's next coach because of his obvious connection with Mayfield, who won the Heisman Trophy last season in Riley's first year at the Big 12 power.Mayfield was asked directly if he wants Riley to come to Cleveland."I have a relationship with Lincoln," Mayfield. "He's been great and we had success, but whatever decision is made here I'm going to make the most of it. Obviously, there's been a level of comfort with him in the past that I've had. But whatever happens, happens. And you know what, you can't control that so I'm not going to worry about it."Mayfield also doesn't know if Riley is itching to go pro."I think down the road probably Cleveland Browns Hoodie ," he said. "Right now I'm not going to speak for him, but he's ready whenever that time comes."The Browns fired Hue Jackson in October, and general manager John Dorsey is in the early stages of a coaching search that will accelerate once the season ends. Interim coach Gregg Williams will interview for the job, and it's likely that Dorsey will meet with former Packers coach Mike McCarthy, who was dismissed after Sunday's loss to Arizona.Dorsey and McCarthy worked together in Green Bay.Riley's appeal to the Browns could stretch beyond his strong ties to Mayfield. He's regarded as one of the game's best offensive minds, and Mayfield has little doubt Riley has the right attributes to lead professional players."After being here, it's about respect," Mayfield said. "You get a locker room full of guys that are making a lot of money, obviously the egos are going to be there. You have to have the respect in guys. You have to be able to get the best out of them even when they're going to get paid regardless. So you've got to be able to get the most out of them and demand it, just by respect and so when it comes down to it Youth Customized Cleveland Browns Jerseys , that's why I would say he's a great coach."Mayfield said his admiration for Riley extends way outside his ability to diagram a play or devise a game plan."Some of those coaches that are so successful, they have the standard and they live by 鈥?that standard every day," Mayfield said. "He does it with football, family and he's just a great human being. He wants the best for everybody and he's always encouraging. He will wrap his arm around somebody, talk to them and help them out no matter what it is."Riley, who is 24-3 in two seasons with the Sooners, has downplayed any interest in leaving Oklahoma, which signed him to a five-year, $25 million contract last summer. After Jackson was fired, Riley anticipated questions about going to Cleveland."The truth for me is www.brownsauthorizedshops.com , I love Oklahoma," he said. "I love coaching here. I love college football. I certainly don't have that itch right now. I don't know if I ever will."That won't stop the speculation about Riley, which has been fueled by Dorsey's appearance at Oklahoma's past two games.Mayfield said Dorsey is close with Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione, and joked that he's not putting any more into the visits."I've definitely known about it," Mayfield said. "He's given me a hard time, but he's gone and there's been two wins. That's all I know. Who knows what he's doing down there."NOTES: Browns practice squad DL Daniel Ekuale was suspended without pay for four games for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancers. 14. The Browns extended running back

Duke Johnson’s contract this offseason Cleveland Browns Hats , but they haven’t increased his role, or even maintained it through the season’s first five weeks.Although he played 51 percent of team’s offensive snaps last week, a sharp increase, that bump was primarily due to game flow.“Duke, I think he played more plays than normal,” offensive coordinator Todd Haley said of Johnson’s usage in Week 5. “We were in third down a bunch and two-minute, and at the end of the game two-minute, we had a lot of situations that got him in there, but I thought he made the most of his opportunities.”Johnson is being leaned on for his pass-blocking ability, and the threat he provides as a receiver out of the backfield, but he isn’t getting the ball very often. To this point he has just 17 attempts and 17 targets Cleveland Browns Hoodie , although he’s performing well enough with 4.4 yards per carry and 9.1 yards per catch.“In these last three or four weeks I’ve been blocking more than I’ve blocked since I’ve been in the NFL and I’m taking pride in it,” Johnson told cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot. “I’m having fun doing it because it gives Baker (Mayfield) and our team a chance to win.’’Being a “team guy” doesn’t mean players should always feel completely satisfied with their roles, especially if they believe they can help make things easier for their teammates.Johnson, somewhat disgruntled in what he feels has been an under utilization of his skills thus far, confided in veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor on Thursday.“He told me to just be more positive,’’ Johnson said, per Cabot. “Just focus on all the good. It’s not all bad. It’s not all good. You’re going to have some days when you’re not feeling so well. Just find a way to get through it.”“It could be frustrating but it wasn’t over the top,’’ Johnson added.“Just trying to figure it out.’’While Johnson is getting “pick-me-ups” from his captain, Haley doesn’t view managing his running back rotation as a problem, although he recognizes the challenge it presents. He ultimately believes handling it properly is “part of the recipe” for fielding a successful offense.“You want all of your players involved. At running back, sometimes that is a little tougher than others Customized Cleveland Browns Jerseys ,” Haley added. “You can’t just run him out there.”Coach Hue Jackson continues to advocate for a bump in Johnson’s role, but nothing appears to have changed. The head coach joined Haley in expressing the difficulty in keeping everyone happy with their individual gameday involvement.Acknowledging that difficulty, Jackson didn’t hold any punches with his response to any potential role-related unhappiness in the locker room.“This is about winning. It is not about personal stats or personal pride or any of that,” he said. “It is about our football team, and that is what we talk about more than anything.”No one should suggest Johnson doesn’t want to win or do what’s best for his team. He has and continues to do whatever’s necessary. It just seems like it’s pretty obvious to everyone except for Jackson and Haley that he has the tools to contribute more towards that goal than they are allowing. While lip service and praise from his coaches is nice, it’d be nicer if their words resulted in changes on Sundays.“Duke is very talented,” Jackson said on Wednesday. “Obviously, when he has the ball in his hands, good things happen.”It seems like doing “good things” is something that should be pretty high up there on the gameplan priority list.Let’s hope Johnson is afforded some more opportunities to do them.Former Browns claimed: Seahawks claim CB Simeon Thomas, Giants get CB Mike Jordan If you thought the Cleveland Browns were already deep at cornerback in 2018, think about this: they also had two cornerbacks claimed off waivers by other teams: Mike Jordan and Simeon Thomas.Jordan was a player who the Browns claimed last year off waivers at this time. He arguably ended up contributing the most out of the team’s waiver claims www.authenticsclevelandbrowns.com , which still wasn’t too much. This year, he started seeing more action has camp came to a close, due to an injury to E.J. Gaines. But with Gaines, Denzel Ward, T.J. Carrie, Terrance Mitchell, and Briean Boddy-Calhoun all ahead of him on the depth chart, there simply wasn’t enough room for him.Thomas was the only draft pick of GM John Dorsey’s that the club cut this year. The presumption is that he would have been placed on the practice squad, but Seattle grabbed him for their active roster. They will see what the tall, lanky corner has to offer — but he will need to work on not using his hands to battle receivers down the field so much. www.nflshopoutlet.com/detroit-lions
  15. According to Jim Wyatt of Titans Online the Titans have added 6 players to the practice squad that were with the team in camp. Those players include RB Dalyn Dawkins Womens Brett Kern Jersey , LB Robert Spillane, DB Josh Kalu, DB Damon Webb, OT Tyler Marz and TE Jerome Cunningham. The Titans probably would have added Luke Falk to the practice squad, but for some reason he was claimed by the Miami Dolphins. Could it be because the Dolphins want to pick Falk’s brain about the Titans offense. I usually laugh when people say things like that, but what other possible reason could there be for a team wanting Falk??Deontay Burnett is another guy that I thought they would want to bring back here, but he chose to join his USC teammate, Sam Darnold, with the New York Jets. The Titans have 4 more spots to fill on the practice squad. They will get that done before practice starts later in the week. NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Arthur Smith has worked for a several head coaches http://www.titansfootballauthentics.com/malcolm-butler-jersey-authentic , including four with the Tennessee Titans so he knows as well as anyone just how much turnover quarterback Marcus Mariota has dealt with in the NFL.So while Smith represents more change, he and the Titans plan to keep things the same for Mariota's sake.Smith will be the quarterback's fourth different offensive coordinator and fifth play-caller heading into this fifth NFL season. So to prevent Mariota and his teammates from having to learn new terminology for plays and protections, Smith isn't planning an overhaul of the playbook. "He's already changed enough," Smith said Tuesday. "So when he comes in here he'll know exactly how we're reading plays, he'll know exactly how we're calling plays. It just allows him to take another step."Continuity and familiarity were major factors in Smith's promotion from tight ends coach to offensive coordinator , replacing Matt LaFleur — who was hired last month by the Green Bay Packers. Smith said he made clear his career goals included becoming a coordinator when talking with Titans coach Mike Vrabel, and the man who started coaching as a graduate assistant at his alma mater North Carolina said he has been very lucky.Mike Munchak hired Smith in 2011 as a defensive quality control assistant before switching him to offense. Smith assisted with the offensive line and tight ends in 2013 and became assistant tight ends coach in 2014 under new coach Ken Whisenhunt. When Mike Mularkey replaced Whisenhunt in November 2015, Smith took over the tight ends and coached the group through 2018 under Mike Vrabel ."I've always just tried to do a good job with the job that they gave me," Smith said.Smith takes over at a crucial period. The Titans have gone 9-7 in three straight seasons with only one playoff berth to show for it, and Mariota is under contract only for 2019 on his fifth-year option paying him $20.9 million. The Titans need to know how much more they should invest in Mariota Youth Dennis Kelly Jersey , who missed three starts including the season finale with a playoff berth on the line in 2018 and is 27-28 as a starter in his career. Mariota had his fewest yards passing with 2,528 yards last season and only 11 touchdown passes while being sacked a career-high 42 times. While Smith won't be changing the terminology, he said there are offensive changes on the horizon.Smith believes the best way to get the most out of Mariota is by improving the entire offense, and the Titans have plenty of room for that after ranking just 25th in total yards, 29th in yards passing and 27th in points scored. That's why the Titans aren't changing the language or the offense allowing them to start work faster April 15 for the offseason program. Smith made clear there are lots of variations in the offense, allowing flexibility for specific game plans.Keeping Mariota healthy also will be critical to Tennessee's success."The play-calling definitely can help," Smith said. "It's not the end all be all, but it'll definitely be a conscious effort to keep him healthy."Defensive coordinator Dean Pees also talked to reporters Tuesday for the first time since deciding to return for his second season on Vrabel's staff.Pees, who turns 70 in September, spent the night of Nov. 18 in an Indianapolis hospital after having to leave the coaches' booth at the beginning of what wound up a 38-10 loss. Pees never has specified what his issue was http://www.titansfootballauthentics.com/kamalei-correa-jersey-authentic , but he said it never was life-threatening, though he had a "couple things cleaned up" after the season."Feeling good, feeling as good as I've felt in a long, long time," Pees said.He returns to the NFL's third-stingiest scoring defense, a unit that also ranked eighth in total yards allowed. Pees says it was a very easy decision to coach another season."I'm certainly hoping we can improve on what we did," Pees said.
  16. on a Friday night. Which prospects will stand out? Louisiana Tech at Florida Atlantic 6:30 PM CBS Sports Network- The Bulldogs travel to Boca Raton to take on FAU in a key C-USA battle. La Tech is coming off a close victory over UTEP while FAU struggled in a loss to Marshall. Lane Kiffin recently made news for offering a scholarship to former USC QB Matt Leinart’s 11 year old son. It’s been a tough year for the Owls as they have gone 3-4 and currently reside in fifth place of the East division. Louisiana Tech prospect to watch1. Jaylon Ferguson 6’5 269 EDGE RS Senior- Ferguson has been a monster thus far into his career. If you look up the word production Womens Quinton Spain Jersey , his picture is next to the word. Has posted a career line of 154 tackles, 53 tackles for loss, 37 sacks as of press time. One of the more underrated edge rushers in a loaded class. Motor is a plus. He would fit what the Titans are looking for in an edge. Florida Atlantic prospect to watch1. Devin Singletary 5’9 200 RB Junior- The best running back that no one is talking about. He had a monstrous 2017 with 1,918 yards and 32 touchdowns. Really blew up as a sophomore under Lane Kiffin’s guidance. The 2018 season hasn’t been as productive but he’s still a solid back. He’s the all time leader in rushing touchdowns by a player who attended a FBS school in the state of Florida. That’s an impressive accomplishment given the talent that has come out of the state. Miami at Boston College 7 PM ESPN- The Hurricanes renew acquaintances with long time foe Boston College. Miami is coming off a loss to Virginia while BC is coming off a win over Louisville. Both teams need a win in order to stay alive in their division. Miami is going back to much maligned QB Malik Rosier after N’Kosi Perry struggled last week. Can the Canes find an answer and beat the Golden Eagles to right the ship? Miami prospects to watch1. Jaquan Johnson 5’11 190 S Senior- Johnson is one of the best safeties in the class that hardly anyone talks about. He’s been at Miami for a long time now. Was one of the best safeties last year in the entire ACC and three of them got drafted within the first two rounds in 2018. A guy who’s seemingly always around the ball. Tackling fundamentals are on point. Football IQ is a plus. 2. Tyree St. Louis 6’5 305 OT Senior- Underrated tackle prospect that has been on the radar for a couple of years now. Versatile enough to play both tackle positions. Has played left tackle as senior.3. Michael Pinckney 6’1 220 LB Junior- One of the best linebackers in the ACC. Undersized Youth Corey Davis Jersey , yes but so are the times of the NFL in regards to the position. Can cover sideline to sideline with the best. Football IQ is a plus. The frame questions will cause some pause for teams as he gets lost in the wash quite frequently.4. Gerald Willis III 6’2 280 DT RS Senior- Willis has been a monster in the middle for the Canes this season. Athleticism is on point. Still refining the little things in terms of fundamentals. He’s vaulted himself into first round conversations with his play. Been unstoppable at times. He’s really good. There were some off field issues early on but he has matured a ton. He missed all of last season dealing with personal issues. I commend him for recognizing his issues and working to solve them. Current Giants standout safety Landon Collins is his older half-brother. Boston College prospects to watch1. Zach Allen 6’5 285 EDGE Senior- The focal point of the Golden Eagles pass rush after a very good junior season being Honor Landry’s running mate. Had a monstrous junior season with 100 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks. Production has dropped off a bit in 2018 but still a talented prospect nonetheless. Football IQ and work ethic are major pluses. Run defense is a plus as well. 2. A.J. Dillon 6’0 245 RB Sophomore- Dillon is one of the more intriguing running backs in a loaded 2020/21 class. He had a monster freshman season last year rushing for 1,589 yards on 300 carries and 14 touchdowns. He’s coming off an ankle injury that made him miss the last two games so we shall see how effective he is. CHICAGO (AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles were desperately seeking a lift with little time left to save their season.Nick Foles came through for the defending Super Bowl champions. And he did it just in time.Foles threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Golden Tate on fourth down in the final minute, and the Eagles hung on for a 16-15 wild-card victory over the Chicago Bears after Cody Parkey's missed field goal hit the upright and crossbar. After squeezing past the NFC North champions, the Eagles (10-7) will visit top-seeded New Orleans (13-3) next Sunday."It's going to be a tall task this week," Foles said. "They had a bye week and they are a tremendous team. They had an amazing season. But you know Color Rush Nate Gerry Jersey , I love these guys that I get to play with. I know we're ready for this week."The Eagles won five of their final six regular-season games. They squeezed into the playoffs by beating Washington and having the Bears (12-5) give them an assist by taking out Minnesota last week. The Eagles are trying to become the first team to repeat as Super Bowl champions since New England in 2004. And they're also trying to become the first sixth seed to win the title since Green Bay in the 2010 season. The Packers beat the Bears for the conference championship at Soldier Field that year."We have nothing to lose," safety Malcolm Jenkins said. "Nobody expects us to do anything. Everybody counted us out. So you know, what do we have to lose but our dignity and pride?"Foles came through down the stretch against the NFL's stingiest defense to help the Eagles pull out the tight victory. He completed six passes on a 60-yard drive for the go-ahead TD after Chicago's Pat O'Donnell shanked a punt.Three plays at the 2 went nowhere, with Kyle Fuller breaking up a third-down pass to Alshon Jeffery near the goal line. But with the season on the line, Foles rolled to his right and Tate reached to grab the go-ahead TD with 56 seconds left."He never tries to do too much. He tries to play within himself on every play Color Rush Chris Long Jersey ," tight end Zach Ertz said. "The moment's never too big for him and he just resonates that calm and positive attitude."Foles is now 7-0 while filling in for Carson Wentz in must-win games the past two seasons, with a Super Bowl MVP performance against New England last year. And he came through against the Chicago when things weren't looking so promising."You know, (Foles) just does a great job of just staying in the moment, staying calm and, you know Color Rush Jake Elliott Jersey , no panic," Eagles coach Doug Pederson said. "There was no panic on the offense or on the sideline."Wendell Smallwood's 2-point conversion run failed. But the Eagles hung on when Parkey's 43-yard attempt in the closing seconds hit halfway up the left upright and ricocheted off the crossbar. He was 11 of 12 on fourth-quarter field goals prior to missing the biggest kick of his career. And it was the sixth time this season he nailed an upright on a missed field goal or extra point. That ended a stunning turnaround season for the Bears in their first year under coach Matt Nagy. They won the NFC North after four straight last-place finishes and reached the playoffs for the first time in eight years."I see a lot of young talent and a great coaching staff," guard Kyle Long said. "We didn't have any postseason experience — now we have a little bit of it. Now we have a taste of what the stakes are like and we know what it takes to win and we have the pieces to the puzzle to win."Bears defensive lineman Akiem Hicks said: "This is what we're going to deal with. If you wanted a different result, maybe make a different play. You've got to swallow this and let it hurt for a little bit. We'll be all right."
  18. Jordan Mailata: ‘You Can Expect Big Things Next Year’ - PE.com“Bloody hell http://www.philadelphiaeaglesteamonlines.com/nelson-agholor-jersey , I hope it’s easier. I know I didn’t just struggle for this whole year for nothing,” Mailata said. “I feel more confident now. This is my first offseason so I’m trying to be careful and use my time and try to be efficient with it. I’m disappointed I didn’t get out on the field, but you can expect big things next year. I’m going to grind for it.” Mailata had an ideal situation for a young offensive lineman seeking experience. He learned from two of the best tackles in the game in Lane Johnson and Jason Peters and worked with Pro Bowl interior linemen in center Jason Kelce and guard Brandon Brooks. And against a ferocious defensive front, Mailata was tested each day in practice.Eagles reportedly give Nick Foles the $1 million bonus he just missed making - BGNIt’s very possible Foles could be paying back some of that money to the Eagles in the near future. If Philadelphia picks up his $20 million option for the 2019 season, which seems likely, Foles can pay back $2 million to void the contract and become a free agent. So it’s essentially like the Eagles decreased Foles’ buyout price to $1 million by giving him this extra $1 million bonus.Putting a Bow on 2018 - BGN RadioJoin John Stolnis and Brandon Lee Gowton look back at 2018 to further dissect the Saints loss, the coordinators, the quarterbacks and much much more!NFC Hierarchy/Obituary: The Eagles are dead - PhillyVoiceSo I guess the lesson learned here -- and it’s not exactly a new lesson -- is that if you have Super Bowl aspirations, it’s better to be a great team for the entirety of the season, than it is to just get hot at the end of it. A game in Week 2 means every bit as much in the standings as a game in Week 16 or 17. Football is the ultimate team sport. That extends to the front office—in this case, it especially extends to the front office—that seems all to eager to pin the blame on the kicker because his mistake was the final one.Jason Garrett had an awfully messy week regarding Scott Linehan - Blogging The BoysThe first week of the offseason hasn’t been the best for Jason Garrett when he’s gone behind a microphone. Things started off on a weird note Monday morning when he took to the airwaves of 105.3 The Fan and told the world that Scott Linehan would be back, and that he didn’t expect any significant changes to the coaching staff. Hours later, when pressed about his answer earlier in the day, Garrett said that he “didn’t know” what he’d said on the radio. Seriously. It was a strange sequence for the typically well-polished coach in front of the media. He was clearly in an agitated mood as he even snapped a bit during the same press conference where he played dumb about his Scott Linehan comments.Ranking the final 4 quarterbacks in the 2019 NFL playoffs - SB NationWhat’s left us with a pair of conference championship games destined to keep scoreboard operators busy throughout Sunday. He was deserving of a practice squad spot in Philadelphia but the Eagles decided to keep Winston Craig instead (Joe Douglas Richmond Spiders bias alert). Shittu originally joined the Eagles roster as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He spent his entire rookie season on the practice squad before then suffering a season-ending injury in early in the 2017 offseason. He spent the year on the Eagles’ injured reserve list, so I guess he got a Super Bowl ring. Shittu was competing for a fourth or fifth defensive tackle spot on the Eagles’ 53-man roster this offseason but he ultimately lost out to undrafted free agent Bruce Hector. And so the Eagles will say farewell to the Stanford alumnus with the funny name. ...In other former Eagles news, Donnel Pumphrey signed with the Detroit Lions practice squad and Christian Hackenberg signed with the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad. Pump, Hack, and Shittu are so far the only players to find new NFL homes since being cut by the Eagles on Saturday.
  19. was a rather difficult http://www.thetexansfootballauthentic.com/whitney-mercilus-jersey-authentic , but still completely necessary, one to make.Bill O’Brien is not the problem in Houston...or at least he’s not the only problem.Yes, some of O’Brien’s play calls in critical moments should be questioned http://www.thetexansfootballauthentic.com/deandre-hopkins-jersey-authentic , and yes, the offensive line issues still rear their ugly heads from time to time, but to say that the Texans’ putrid red zone performance against the Cowboys was anything but the fault of Deshaun Watson would be a gross mischaracterization of the film that I watched last week. Watson missed no fewer than four touchdown passes in the red zone that were set up by good play calls from Bill O’Brien Youth Bruce Ellington Jersey , and then missed a fifth touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins as well just from flat out bad decision-making under pressure. Say what you want about how O’Brien manages a football game, but the man gave his offense every possible opportunity to put points on the board when they got inside the 20s, and simply none of his players could execute well enough to do so. 20. The Houston Texans welcome the New York Giants this afternoon to the friendly confines of NRG Stadium. Neither the Texans nor the Giants have managed to eek out a victory this season http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/ka_imi-fairbairn-jersey , so, barring some frustrating nonsense that results in a tie, one of these two teams will end up in the win column, finally. Going into the game, the Texans appear excited and confident. Jadeveon Clowney will return to action after missing last week (in terms of game time; he still managed to end up impacting the game with his penalty); Tyrann Mathieu is excited about taking on Odell Beckham Jr.; and DeAndre Hopkins will be facing the Giants’ secondary. Not to sound the alarm, but if this team is to go anywhere this season, it can’t begin the season 0-3 or 0-2-1. This is where we’re counting down until the action begins. The first open thread will post at 11:45 a.m. Central.Until then, you can chat about the game here. The Titanic II is expected to set sail in 2022 and replicate the ship that sunk back in 1912. The current ship will be built in China; unlike the first one, it is expected to avoid any icebergs.Compare that situation with this season’s Houston Texans. The only difference is that instead of a 110-year window in between ocean liners, there has been a five-week window. The Texans started off this season losing in New England to the Patriots, followed by another road loss to the division rival Tennessee Titans http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/d.j.-reader-jersey , and then followed that up with a home loss to the abysmal New York Giants.H-Town was screaming “Code Red” faster than pre-injury Will Fuller can get behind a defense. The offensive line was holding up a “Welcome To Our Quarterback” sign, allowing defenders to nonchalantly pass through. Deshaun Watson looked like a man who was more worried about protecting his surgically repaired knee than he was about throwing accurate passes from the pocket. The defense could not stop a stationary dummy from moving the chains and scoring. It was so bad that when the 2018 season ends, the New York Giants might have to thank the Texans for helping them avoid becoming the second winless team in the last two seasons. The Texans went into this year as a dark horse AFC contender, but life comes at you fast. Sitting at 0-3, they looked like a dark horse for the number one pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.Like the Titanic, the 2018 Houston Texans set sail and struck an iceberg. Then something changed. Magic happened.Frank Reich decided his team would attempt a fourth and four from their own 43-yard line with 24 seconds left in overtime. It was a game that never should have gone to overtime, as the Texans let up on the gas after leading 28-10 midway through the third quarter. Nonetheless, after Reich’s questionable decision, Deshaun Watson hit DeAndre Hopkins for 24 yards. DW4 spiked the ball to stop the clock.Ka’imi Fairbairn hit a 37-yard field goal.Game over.Season saved. The next week, Houstonovercame a bunch of failed conversions with goal to go against the new little brothers of Texas. An overtime win on Sunday Night Football put Houston at 2-3.Momentum might just have been shifting. Deshaun started looking like Deshaun, and the defense was holding up its end of the bargain.A sloppy win at home against Buffalo in Week Six needs emphasis on the word “sloppy” http://www.houstontexansteamonline.com/ryan-griffin-jersey , but watching the Patriots have their hands full with the Bills for three quarters on Monday Night Football a few days ago makes it a little more valid of a dub.Walking into Jacksonville and winning 20-7 in Week Seven was impressive. The Texans finally caused Blake Bortles to get benched, albeit temporarily, about two seasons too late.Top all of this off with a dominant, highlight-reel performance from Deshaun Watson on Thursday Night Football against the Dolphins, and the Texans are looking at the third seed in the AFC Playoffs. They went from being winless with fans starting to fill out their mock draft boards to leading the division and the quarterback sliding into the MVP conversation. So what changed? The main improvement is rush defense. The Texans’ defense ranks third in the NFL in rush yards per attempt at 3.6. Teams are not moving the chains as efficiently with their ground games, and they’re forced to pass. The Texans’ defense isn’t being forced to stay on the field because the other team is not milking the clock.Additionally, offensive lines make all the difference in the world. The Texans’ offensive line ranks dead last in the league in quarterback hits by giving up 71, eight more than the 31st ranked team. A quarterback running for his life will be put in a position where he has to rush throws because he doesn’t have time to go through his reads and allow receivers to run the routes or let plays develop. Houston’s offensive line has been playing a little better as of late. In the past two games, Deshaun Watson has been sacked once and hit six times. Running back Lamar Miller has also rushed for 100+ yards in back-to-back games because of the improved offensive line play. When a quarterback who makes plays with his legs is given the luxury of protection, great things can happen. Ask the Miami Dolphins what happened to them when they could not get to Watson. The quarterback getting healthy and trusting his legs again is the third reason. It’s a simple reason, but it’s the biggest one. Watson tore his ACL on November 2nd last year. An ACL tear might be healed enough for an athlete to return in eight or nine months Authentic Lamar Miller Jersey , but it typically takes at least at least a year for it to be completely back to strength. The need for patience with Watson as he returned from the knee injury was clear early on. On Opening Day in New England, Watson did not trust his legs enough to scramble around like he is now.He wasn’t getting the power from his legs under his throws. Even though he currently has a cracked rib and a bruised lung, the ACL is fine, and the Clemson Tiger great can maneuver like he did before the injury.Deshaun Watson has spearheaded the turn of events in H-Town.Photo by Bob Levey/Getty ImagesWhat’s next?Houston will take a trip to the Mile High City and play the Broncos on Sunday. The Texans just acquired wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to replace injured speed demon Will Fuller. Houston will then go into their bye week before playing the Redskins in D.C., followed by three straight home games against the Titans, Browns, and Colts. The Texans have a shot to start running away with the AFC South and extend their winning streak. If they keep playing like they have the last few weeks, it would be wise to bet that the Titanic II is not going to sink.
  21. go quite as smoothly for Nick Mullens as they did in his first start. So when Mullens followed up his record-setting debut with a spottier performance that included two interceptions and a failed late drive Authentic Laken Tomlinson Jersey , Shanahan wasn't overly concerned and remains committed to Mullens as the starter when the team returns from the bye next week."I think it's a positive experience," Shanahan said Tuesday. "The guy's played one game in his career. I know statistically that was the best start in NFL history. I mean, I think Nick did some real good things yesterday, too. It was a little bit more of a challenge in some circumstances. ... What I liked about Nick is he never seemed rattled throughout the whole game Womens Brock Coyle Jersey , continued playing. He was great after the game. He was great watching film with him. I say it's a good experience or step forward because I think he'll get better from each experience he has."Just about everything went right for Mullens in his debut against the Oakland Raiders on Nov. 1, when he joined Hall of Famers Jim Kelly and Fran Tarkenton as the only players with at least 250 yards passing, three touchdown passes and no interceptions in the first career game. He also had the most efficient debut since the merger for a player with at least 20 attempts, posting a 151.9 rating in the 34-3 win.It wasn't quite like that in a 27-23 loss to the New York Giants on Monday night. Mullens went 27 for 39 for 250 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. He helped San Francisco (2-8) build a 10-point lead in the second half before the team blew it. Mullens then drove the Niners to the 21 in the closing minute before his last-ditch pass sailed out of the back of the end zone to send San Francisco to another loss.Mullens' best play came in the third quarter when he went through several reads before finding running back Matt Breida for an 11-yard touchdown pass that made it 20-10.But there were also some mistakes Womens Adrian Colbert Jersey , like a slightly off-target pass to Marquise Goodwin that led to an interception in the second half and a late throw to Kendrick Bourne that led to an earlier pick in the first half that set up a New York touchdown."I thought he did some decent things last night," Shanahan said. "He's a good pocket passer, so I want him to be perfect at it. He was pretty good on a number of his reads. He had a touchdown get into the last guy in his progression. Had a couple big plays, getting into number two and three. But http://www.sanfrancisco49ersteamonline.com/jaquiski-tartt-jersey , I want him to be automatic. I know that's what he wants to do, too. And we'll keep working at it until he is."The 49ers should be healthy when they return from the bye with Shanahan predicting that everyone on the roster should be available to practice next week. That includes linebacker Reuben Foster, who missed the past two games with a hamstring injury, as well as receiver Pierre Garcon (knee) and safety Jaquiski Tartt (shoulder) http://www.sanfrancisco49ersteamonline.com/deforest-buckner-jersey , who sat out Monday with injuries.Defensive backs K'Waun Williams (stinger) and receiver Goodwin were banged up in the game against the Giants but aren't expected to miss any time. So Kyle Shanahan said in his press conference today he needed closers. Since I was having a slow day at work, my next thought was the epic scene from Glengarry Glen Ross. I can see Shanahan walking into the coaches meeting and Saleh walking over to get a cup of coffee and Shanahan saying the epic line: “Put that coffee DOWN. Coffee is for closers only.” If anyone else had that scene playing after hearing Shanahan’s presser, let me know so I’m not crazy. 22. http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.com/laken-tomlinson-jersey-authentic , game thread It is time for another exciting weekend of college football! Today we have eighteen of the top twenty five teams in action. There is an intriguing matchup consisting of two SEC teams (#2 Georgia at #13 LSU) as well as a PAC 12 showdown between #7 Washington visiting #17 Oregon. Both matchups could have major college football playoff implications. As of last weekend the San Francisco 49ers have one of the best odds of landing the number one overall pick. It remains to be seen where there 49ers will be selecting in April, however it is safe to assume that pass rusher is the top priority. Almost two months in, and this college football season is showing us that this pass rushing class could be a special one. That is great news for John Lynch and the scouting department. For now, sit back, relax, and enjoy the college football festivities...and of course鈥s always鈥ay the force be with our 49ers!For this week, Josh, Alex, and Greg each picked two players to talk about. All prospects highlighted are featured today; nonetheless, feel free to drop in the prospects you are watching. All game times listed are PT. Josh EcclesByron Murphy, CB, No. 1 - Washington Height: 5’11” | Weight: 180 lbs. | Projected 40 Time: 4.41 #7 Washington at #17 Oregon | 12:30 p.m. (PT) Saturday, October 13th (ABC/WatchESPN)Aside from the play of Richard Sherman, the secondary of the 49ers this season has - at best - been shoddy. There is a lack of awareness, discipline, and (at times) ball skills. Enter Huskies cornerback Byron Murphy. Murphy lacks the size that would boost his ability to provide support against the run but makes up for it with his undeniable knack for being a ball hawk. Through 6 games the redshirt sophomore has broken up nine passes and, more impressively, four times over the past two years, he’s had three breakups in a single game. He’s young and still growing into his body as he currently stands at 5’11” and 180 lbs but the Huskies have still been able to rely on his production on the defensive side of the ball as they’ve climbed their way up to #7 in the country. They’ll look to continue their PAC-12 dominance against an Oregon team coming off an impressive win against California.Damien Harris, RB, No. 34 - AlabamaHeight: 5’11” Weight: 215 lbs. | Projected 40 Time: 4.48 Missouri at #1 Alabama | 4:00 p.m. (PT) Saturday, October 13th (ESPN/WatchESPN)Matt Breida is becoming a solidified cog in the Kyle Shanahan offense but the jury’s still out on whether or not Jerick McKinnon can even stay healthy enough to be counted on for an entire season. Why not add some depth to a position of dire importance? Damien Harris is one of those runners who is able to gain yards at will - the same kind of runner who, given some improvement in the passing game - would thrive in this offense.Harris is coming off back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons and has accumulated a total of 361 yards on 51 carries (7.1 ypc) and 3 touchdowns so far in 2018. The Crimson Tide suddenly have an elite passing game which has led to them relying less on running the ball - and maybe the best thing about Harris is his modest workload, meaning there’s plenty of tread on the tires. He’s never carried it more than 146 times in a season and he’s averaging fewer than 10 carries this year. Alex EisenKendall Sheffield, CB, No. 8 - Ohio StateHeight: 5’11” | Weight: 194 lbs. | Projected 40 Time: 4.32Minnesota at #3 Ohio State | 9:00 a.m. (PT) Saturday Youth Adrian Colbert Jersey , October 13th | FS1This season Kendal has recored 12 tackles, 6 passes defended, and 1 interception. Sheffield is one of the fastest players in the nation and should be a candidate in the 40 yard dash at next year’s NFL Combine. Sheffield runs smoothly and fluidly through his hips, and picks up momentum and speed while defending deeper routes. He is a lock-down cornerback who plays physical in coverage. Last season he recored 40 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 9 passes defended, 1 forced fumble, and 2 fumble recoveries. Has a well-round skillset for the position and possess good instincts and ball awareness. Along with his speed, Sheffield has demonstrated his ability on tape to cut receivers off on their route, while breaking up their momentum and even eliminating them from the play altogether. I do have some concerns about his size, and it seems that scouts and evaluators would like to see him bulk up and add some weight before transitioning to the next level. As for the 49ers, there are question marks in the secondary, particularly at the cornerback position. Richard Sherman is not going to be around long-term and the jury still seems to be out on Ahkello Witherspoon. Sheffield isn’t going to be among the first handful of corners drafted, but he has the skillset that should transition smoothly at the pro level. A third round pick would bring great value to perhaps the fastest player in college football.David Montgomery, RB, No. 32 - Iowa StateHeight: 5’11” | Weight: 216 | Projected 40 Time: 4.54#6 West Virginia at Iowa State | 4:00 p.m. (PT) Saturday, October 13th | FS1Last season David Montgomery recored 1,146 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns, as well as 36 receptions for 296 yards receiving. Montgomery is an elusive back, with the ability to make quick cuts to evade oncoming defenders. Will break defenders ankles, and has demonstrated the ability to change directions on a dime. Has balanced, body control, with a good blend of upper and lower body strength. Has good vision and run instincts and will follow his lineman, looking for the open holes and lanes when carrying the ball. He trusts his feet, and has a strong initial burst up the middle. Will challenge opponents on contact and will often fight for additional yardage. Can be dangerous in the open field. On tape, he made opponents miss on multiple occasions with his quick cuts and change of direction. There are some concerns on tape about his pass blocking. Montgomery will look to improve in this area Womens Mike McGlinchey Jersey , particularly with his hands and how he positions himself in the backfield during passing plays. Overall, there is a lot to like about Montgomery, who at the moment is a day two selection in next year’s draft should the true junior declare. The San Francisco 49ers will have question marks at the running back position next year. With Jerick McKinnon recovering from an ACL injury the 49ers might be wise to select another back in next year’s draft.Greg ValerioLandis Durham, DE, No. 46 - Texas A&MHeight: 6’3” | Weight: 255No. 22 Texas A&M vs. South Carolina | 12:30 p.m. (PT) Saturday, October 13 | SEC NetworkAnother week, another edge defender highlighted - wonder what theme I am trying to convey. Nonetheless, Landis Durham is another speedy quick-twitch edge defender that displays great skills in rushing the passer. A converted linebacker, Durham has shown the capacity to improve and is continuing his impressive play from the year prior. He explodes off the edge blowing past defenders with speed, quickness, great balance, body control, and change of direction skills. Durham is a slippery player penetrating through gaps and stunts with great closing speed playing with bad intentions, and jets off the edge with athleticism, speed, and bend. A pass rush specialist, Durham will need to gain functional strength at the next level as he struggles to shed stronger defenders and is easily moved by power.KeeSean Johnson, WR, No. 3 - Fresno StateHeight: 6’2” | Weight: 202Wyoming vs. Fresno State | 7:30 p.m. (PT) Saturday, October 13 | ESPNUKeeSean Johnson is not a freakishly athletic wide receiver with explosive game breaking speed. He is, however, a good-sized dependable chain-moving receiver with consistent high production and a strong work ethic showcasing his capacity to improve each year. Johnson is a fluid route runner with a smoothness and sound technique to his game. He showcases great explosion off the line and displays nice bend on breaks coming out quickly with great suddenness and decent burst. He flashes strong reliable hands and is a natural pass catcher with excellent ball skills. Johnson wins in intermediate routes and although he does not possess elite speed, he does win deep match-ups with technique, length, body control, superb ball skills, and high pointing the catch with great athleticism. Johnson is the type of prospect one can find deep in the draft adding tremendous value at the next level.Shanahan: ‘I think we need to get a lot better on third down ... that would change things dramatically’ The San Francisco 49ers wrapped up their week of practice on Friday Womens Fred Warner Jersey , and head coach Kyle Shanahan had a brief press conference after. He talked about injuries and C.J. Beathard’s practice week, but I liked hearing some of his thoughts on the 49ers struggles even without the loss of Jimmy Garoppolo.Shanahan is pleased with the run game, but thinks the team needs to find ways to improve on third down, both offensively and defensively. The 49ers are already a big step behind the eight ball without Jimmy Garoppolo, so the run game will be that much more critical. Matt Breida and Alfred Morris are both questionable. Both seem to be looking OK in practice, although Breida appears to be a bit more of a game-time decision than Morris. Regardless, the 49ers badly need their run game in gear to clean up this third down problem. They need strong showings in the early downs to set up more 3rd and manageable situations. C.J. Beathard is more of a dink and dunk guy than Garoppolo, so getting to 3rd and short is critical. On the other side of the ball, giving up conversions on 3rd and 15 (or setting up 4th and 1s) are not going to help anybody. The 49ers defense was atrocious in the first half against the Chiefs in general, but particularly on third down. Nobody (other than the Rams) has an offense quite like the Chiefs, but the Chargers are dynamic enough to be concerning. It is critical the 49ers defense finds some third down success. Here’s Shanahan’s full transcript from Friday.Do you have any clarity on how your defensive backfield is going to look on Sunday?“Yes. [G Joshua] Garnett’s out. [CB Richard Sherman] Sherm’s out. [S Jaquiski] Tartt’s doubtful. [RB Matt] Breida, [RB] Alfred [Morris] and [DB Adrian] Colbert, all three will be questionable.”Will you go with DB Antone Exum Jr. again as Tartt’s replacement?“Most likely.”With Breida, what is the remaining hurdle for him?“Just to see how he feels on game day. He’s been up and down a little bit this week. He got a little bit more yesterday. We kept him limited today just trying to manage the wear and tear. But, questionable is better than doubtful so hoping it works out.”QB C.J. Beathard spent the offseason with TE George Kittle and WR Trent Taylor working out together in Tennessee working on the offense. Was it obvious when they got back that they had been working on it? Were they sharper in obvious ways to you when they returned?“I think they were pretty similar. Those guys are close. Two of them went to college together and I think they’re all from close to that area and I think they all like country music. So, it’s a good place for them to go hang out. But, all three of those guys work year-round. They’ve been great since the day they’ve gotten here. But, yes, they all did come back better. I don’t know if it was because they were together or just because that’s expected in year two, also.”With the increased reps, I know you talked about C.J. should be more comfortable in year two. Were you able to see that this week in practice?“Yeah. We’ve seen it since OTAs. Just going against our defense every day, I think he’s got a real good feel for that and a real good feel for our offense. He stepped in this week and had a hell of a week of practice.”What makes it a good week of practice?“Just going to the right people, staying in a good rhythm, going through his progressions, making the right reads, getting the ball to, you can always see after a play based off the play call and the coverages that you’re going against where the ball should go. How many times do they get it there? He’s been very consistent with that.”There’s so much focus on the quarterback this week and can Beathard salvage the season and all that. But http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.com/earl-mitchell-jersey-authentic , as you look at the team overall, do you feel like it’s not just on C.J., a lot of areas need to improve for you guys to kind of have a chance here?“Yes, no doubt. I think offensively we’ve been running the ball well. I think we need to get a lot better on third down. We’ve struggled to do well on drives, to me, when we’ve had a lot of third downs because we haven’t been very consistent with that. We’ve done better in short yardage, just not better in the longer yardages. I think we’ve been in a lot of long third downs too which means you’ve got to get better with some penalties, taking some sacks. Then we’ve got to do better at converting. Defensively, we’ve talked about it. We need to get better at tackling, first and foremost, and do better at third down on defense also. I think both sides of the ball, first thing, if we could get off the field on third down on defense and we could stay on the field on offense on third down I think that would change a lot of things dramatically.”You talked last year that you were done checking on LB Reuben Foster on the field. He tricked you again.“I know. I tried so hard not to go. I also, so no one ever takes it wrong, I don’t plan on going out there every time a player is down. They don’t need to see me. I’m not going to make them feel better. Doctors are around trying to do their job and everyone is around anyways. I don’t think it helps for me to just get in there and stare at someone. So, I try not to go out there unless there’s something real serious and then you’re just concerned and you want to go check on the guy. But, Reuben’s gotten me like one out of 30 times I’ve been right. So, I’ll try to hold back longer next time.”What was the feeling on how Exum did on his time last week and how do you feel about him if he’s the guy on Sunday this week?“I mean, Exum’s here for a reason. I thought he got a lot better as the game went. I think he made some mistakes early in the game and I think once he played a little bit more I think it slowed down for him. From a physical standpoint, I thought he played fairly well just running. I thought he tackled fairly well. I thought he did good jobs in his coverage. I think it took him a little bit for the game to calm down for him as it did for a lot of our defense in the first half. But, I was definitely happy with how he finished.” Do you have any idea what to expect playing in a soccer stadium and potentially having a large contingency of 49ers fans there?“I don’t know. I’m actually very curious about it. I don’t think I’ve played in a situation like this. Hopefully it won’t be as loud as it was last week in Kansas City. If it is, we’ll have to deal with it.” You didn’t mention OL Mike Person on the injury report. Is he back to normal?“It depends on what you consider normal, but he’s good to go.”
  23. Sunday night that he had no regrets about the explosive comments he made in his interview on ESPN with Josina Anderson. “I don’t regret anything Youth Saquon Barkley Jersey , I don’t regret anything that I said. If it took that for us to come together as a team like we did today, I can take that every single time,” Beckham said. “I spoke to the team just to kind of relay the message that sometimes stuff comes off the wrong way. Words can be portrayed in any kind of light. The conversation is between us. But the way we responded as a team to what was said, I felt like it would’ve been too easy after what was said, and after what I said to them for us to come in here and have heart, energy and all that stuff. Grit, whatever the words you want to use for that. We had it today, and we came up short, but I’m proud of this team, and this is the team that we are going to be for the rest of the season. “Like I said, if it took that to get us going, I can take that. I’m trying to be a leader, I’m in a position I’ve never been in. I’m trying to grow, I’m learning on the way, on the fly, but I’m proud of where we went today.”Here is some of what Beckham said in his interview with Anderson.Sitting next to L’il Wayne, Beckham had this to say about Eli Manning. He was asked, do you have an issue at quarterback? How about his coaches, including the current one who has gone out of his way to build a working relationship with Beckham? There was also this:Shurmur was apparently “absolutely livid” and made Beckham apologize to his teammates.Giants might be on the right path, but it better lead to winning — soon Is the glass half empty or half full for the 0-1 New York Giants? Well, that depends on whether you are the type of person who prefers to take the optimistic view or the pessimistic one.The Giants are preferring to be optimistic. They are preferring to believe that the Jaguars, who fell one good half of football short of reaching the Super Bowl last season http://www.authenticsnewyorkgiants.com/cheap-rhett-ellison-jersey , everything they could handle. That there were things in the loss they could build on.“I was encouraged by the way that we fought against one of the better teams in the league,” Odell Beckham Jr. said this week. “Unfortunately, we lost, but if you look at it, the game could’ve went either which way. We just didn’t make more plays than they made. I think we’re optimistic about it.”“I’ve been involved in a lot of first games of the season – won about half of them, and lost about half of them. You just move forward,” head coach Pat Shurmur said.“I think the mindset is keep working, keep grinding. The way you look at it, it’s the first game of the season with a new coach, new players, new schemes. Not everything is going to be perfect. There’s some good things,” quarterback Eli Manning said. “Obviously, a lot we’re cleaning up as well. We just got to play better ball. We got to make some plays here and there, clean some things up, get on the same page with how we’re doing things. So, I think each week we’re going to learn a lot. We’re going to learn how to clean up this offense, how to clean up the mistakes that were made, and we’ll get better. There’s enough good things to build off, and know we can go out there and play better football.”Shurmur has said a number of times that he likes the path the Giants are on. I have expressed the belief many times that the Giants as a team and an organization are in a far better place than they were a year. Maybe even two, three, four years ago.I still believe those things to be true. You don’t, however http://www.authenticsnewyorkgiants.com/cheap-connor-barwin-jersey , get points for being on a good path. Or in a better place. You get points for winning. Period.Bottom line last week was that the Giants let a winnable game, one that was in their grasp with just a couple more plays or a couple less bone-headed mistakes, slip away. You don’t get those opportunities back, and with only 16 such opportunities in an NFL season each one that goes by is damaging. The Giants, with their decision to forsake the long-term future and go all-in on the present with Eli Manning, chose the path of winning. Now. Once again, being on a good path or in a better place is nice. The Giants, though, have to win. To justify the path they took, trying to win in the short term with Manning, they actually have to win in the short term with Manning. Maybe not Super Bowl titles. I have said multiple times, though, that forsaking the future for the present means the present needs to be successful. If the Giants miss the playoffs, I don’t know how you term that successful. One loss, of course, doesn’t doom the Giants to missing the playoffs. Two to start the season? That won’t eliminate them, but only 10 of 91 0-2 teams since 2007 have made the playoffs. The Giants can talk around it all they want. They need, however, to win on Sunday night.“We plan to come out and win. That’s always the goal is to win. I hate losing, anything. Whether it’s cards against Shep over there, (RB Jonathan Stewart) Stew, I don’t like losing http://www.authenticsnewyorkgiants.com/cheap-ray-ray-armstrong-jersey ,” Beckham said. “I need that [winning feeling]. There’s no feeling like winning. Just the overall feeling of everybody in the locker room and knowing we did what we had to do. We’ll live on this moment for a little bit. Cool, and then get back to work. Everybody here wants to win, and we know the importance of this game. We know you don’t want to get 0-2, and start the season off that way, even though it is a long season. You just want to start fast and finish fast, and finish strong, too.”His teammates need that winning feeling, too. Soon. Or this is going to be just another also-ran season for the Giants.Which brings me to Manning.Pat Traina on Friday called the idea “ludicrous” that there is already an argument being pushed that the Giants would be better off if Sam Darnold was their starting quarterback right now instead of Manning. She also mentioned that I was planning on getting to this topic myself. Which is true, and what I’m doing right now.Look, Darnold played really well in his victorious NFL debut while Manning and the Giants left some points on the table in a season-opening loss. To argue after one game, though, that Darnold would give the Giants the better chance to win in 2018 is just silliness.Remember, I’m viewing this through the lens of a guy who beat the drum for Darnold for months prior to the draft. He was, in my view, clearly the best quarterback in the draft and despite my belief in Manning the guy I would have taken at No. 2.I get what the Giants did, though, and why they did it. They have Manning under contract this year and next, and they think he can still play. The best way to support him was to upgrade the talent around him, not use their No. 2 pick on a guy who would eventually take over for him.Darnold, if Monday night was an indication, could be a really good NFL quarterback for a decade or more after Manning is done playing. It may well be that the Giants made the wrong long-term decision. We’ll find out down the road. Did they make the wrong short-term one? One game is hardly enough evidence to make that decision.
  24. don’t all fit in a single tweet. Here is the list:Running back Akeem Hunt should be familiar to Giants fans. He was with the team in the 2015 preseason Womens Landon Collins Jersey , having signed as an undrafted free agent. Hunt spent two seasons with the Houston Texans and played last season for the Kansas City Chiefs.Quarterback Connor Cook played in one regular-season game for the Oakland Raiders in 2016 after they drafted him in the fourth round. He holds the distinction of being the first quarterback in the Super Bowl era to make his first — and until now only — career start in a playoff game. Wide receiver Marcus Easley hasn’t played in the NFL since 2015.Dan Skipper is a 6-foot-9, 317-pound offensive tackle who played in one game for the Detroit Lions last season. Tackle Roubbens Joseph spent 2017 on the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. So, Giants fans, not a lot to get excited about here. About what you might expect for a midseason free agent workout. Coming off a three-win season, the New York Giants have changed. They have a new coach, a new general manager Womens Curtis Riley Jersey , a new 3-4 defensive scheme and a slew of new players led by No. 2 overall draft pick Saquon Barkley. The biggest change, however, heading into 2018 is there is no Super Bowl hype. That was the main topic going into 2017 with the Giants coming off an 11-5 season under then-second-year coach Ben McAdoo. The expectations of a trip to Minnesota and a fifth Lombardi Trophy were through the roof. The hope didn't last long. After losing five straight to start the season and incurring several injuries, McAdoo and longtime general manager Jerry Reese were fired in early December after their decision to bench two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning. The changes followed. Dave Gettleman was hired to replace Reese. Pat Shurmur was named coach. A slew of free agents were signed led by left tackle Nate Solder, guard Patrick Omameh and linebacker Kareem Martin. Fellow linebacker Alec Ogletree was acquired in a trade.Barkley, guard Will Hernandez and defensive tackle B.J. Hill were added in the first three rounds of the draft. All should start against the Jaguars on Sept. 9."I just told the team today Womens Jon Halapio Jersey , and I'll say this, I'm not into predictions," Shurmur said Monday. "I told the team today really don't worry about Jacksonville, let's just make the rest of today as good as it can be and then we'll see where we go with it."The Giants have talent. Getting back to the playoffs will be tough.New York has two games with the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and five other matchups against teams that made the playoffs — Jacksonville, New Orleans, Carolina http://www.newyorkgiantsteamonline.com/b.j.-hill-jersey , Atlanta and Tennessee. Add in four games against NFC East rivals Dallas and Washington and winning nine or 10 games is asking a lot.The positive is the personnel is good. The 37-year-old Manning has looked sharp in the preseason and the receiving group has the potential to be awesome, especially if Odell Beckham Jr. returns to form after missing most of last season with a broken ankle. Despite missing two weeks with a hamstring, Barkley has been impressive. He has a burst of speed that has not been seen in the Giants' backfield in a while.Defensively, tackle Snacks Harrison, end/linebacker Olivier Vernon, cornerback Janoris Jenkins and safety Landon Collins are Pro Bowl caliber for coordinator James Bettcher. Some things to know about the 2018 Giants:BECKHAM'S BACK: The Giants have been cautious with the three-time Pro Bowler in the preseason. He did not appear in any of the first three games and it's likely he won't play until the season opener. The 25-year-old has been barely touched in training camp which might raise some concerns. However Womens Riley Dixon Jersey , if you've watched him, he has not lost a step. His cuts are crisp, his hands are as good as ever and there is no reason not to believe he is going to have double-digit touchdown catches and have more than 1,000 yards receiving. He also should benefit from opponents having to watch Sterling Shepard and tight end Evan Engram.O-LINE ISSUES: The Giants spent a bundle to upgrade the offensive line. Solder is a major upgrade at left tackle. Hernandez is a fighter at left guard. The rest of the line is suspect. Jon Halapio is playing center for the first time. Omameh struggled against Jets at right tackle while Ereck Flowers has been up and down at his new right tackle spot. Bottom line is the line was the weak link in the offense last season and it could be again although the pass protection has looked a little better.SECONDARY ISSUES: The secondary has three solid starters in Jenkins, fellow cornerback Eli Apple and Collins at the strong safety. The free safety spot looks as if it will go to Curtis Riley. He outlasted incumbent Darian Thompson, who was bothered by a hamstring in training camp Authentic Dalvin Tomlinson Jersey , and veteran Andrew Adams, who struggled despite making 17 starts over the past two seasons. There is little depth at cornerback and it is uncertain who will be the nickel and dime backs.D-LINE: A late concern for the line is Vernon's reported high ankle injury. He is the top pass rusher and struggled at times last season with a similar injury. Rookie Lorenzo Carter, veteran Connor Barwin and Kerry Wynn will have to take up the slack.MANNING: Eli is enjoying the new offense. He was 17 of 23 against the Jets in his final tuneup, and no one is worried whether his starting days are dwindling. Backup Davis Webb has started to show the team didn't waste a third-round pick on him last season.
  25. The NFL’s Top Ten? Whether one wants to admit it or not http://www.authenticswashingtonredskins.com/cheap-matthew-ioannidis-jersey , the Redskins have been on the brink of a breakthrough for some amount of time now. The management has identified the deficiencies of the team and addressed them over the past couple of off-seasons, primarily the defense. The Redskins have bolstered up the front seven at both the interior and inside linebacker positions, giving defensive coordinator Greg Manusky and defensive line coach Jim Tomsula new pieces to work with and develop. The front seven is filled with young and physical defenders who have developed tremendously under the tutelage of the old San Francisco 49ers coaching duo, and with second-year defensive back coach Torrian Gray proving to be the right hire, the entire defensive side of the football may be ready to take a giant leap in 2018. The Redskins pass rush, highlighted by iron man Ryan Kerrigan and Jonathan Allen’s return from an injury-shortened rookie campaign, has been considered one of the better in the NFL over the past couple of seasons. Expect Washington to continue and maybe even improve their ability to get after opposing quarterbacks barring injuries to the front seven. When it comes to liabilities, there are potential issues with the cornerbacks for Washington. The Redskins lost a good amount of experience this offseason in Bashaud Breeland and Kendall Fuller, replacing the two with Quinton Dunbar/Fabian Moreau and Orlando Scandrick, who has the most amount of accumulated experience behind Josh Norman. If things play out well with the front seven Youth Derrius Guice Jersey , the essential unit of the defense, expect the secondary as a whole to hold their own throughout the season. Overall, I expect the Redskins defense to be much better than their offense in 2018, finishing as a top ten unit. How do you feel about the Redskins defense headed into the 2018 season? Thus far, the success of the 2018 Washington Redskins season has been part “Redskins coming up with gutty, clutch performances” and part “stars aligning in their favor.”The end result is a 4-2 record that puts Washington two games up in the loss column over everyone else in the NFC East. What’s more, the previously formidable schedule suddenly looks rather favorable.A couple of weeks ago, observers highlighted the fact that the Redskins had no winning teams left to play. That’s changed slightly, thanks to the surging Houston Texans, but the truth remains that a whole bunch of middling teams populate the remainder of the Redskins’ slate. In fact White Brandon Scherff Jersey , it’s not totally out of the question to say that the Redskins have already played most of the best teams they’ll see all year.Washington has squared off against three others teams who would make the NFC playoffs if the season ended today—and the Redskins beat two of them.Of course, a lot of that manageable-looking schedule owes to the fact that the six current NFC playoff teams are the only teams in the conference with winning records, but I digress. That brings us to this weekend’s game against the downtrodden New York Giants. Not only are the Giants struggling mightily, but they appear to have bailed on 2018.Just in the past few days, they’ve dealt cornerback Eli Apple to the Saints and former All-Pro run-stopper Damon “Snacks” Harrison to the Lions.Janoris Jenkins may be next.New York is already in full rebuilding mode, and it’s only October.Add to the mix a disgruntled Odell Beckham, Jr., and it’s clear that the Giants are reeling—and the timing of their collapse works decidedly in the Redskins’ favor. When people talk about “must-win” games, they usually mean games that, if lost White Preston Smith Jersey , effectively (or literally) eliminate a team from contention. In this case, the Giants game is a “must-win” because it’s a 24-karat-golden opportunity. Why?So many reasons!New York may have the worst offensive line in the NFL.They have a quarterback in Eli Manning who is clearly in the last phase of a very good career.New York’s defense was ranked 25th in points allowed before it dumped Apple and Snacks, which, incidentally, sounds like it should be the name of the #2 morning radio team in Phoenix circa 1989.In short, this is a team in disarray. Admittedly, the Giants do have two elite skill players in OBJ and rookie Saquon Barkley. Both are true gamebreakers. But Washington’s pass-rush and run defense have been so good of late that it’s going to require an otherworldly effort from one or both of them for the Giants to win.Granted, there are concerns about the development of the Redskins’ passing game with Alex Smith at the controls. So far this year, he’s provided excellent ball security but only modest productivity (sort of the anti-Kirk Cousins, oddly enough). He’s missing several weapons http://www.authenticswashingtonredskins.com/cheap-morgan-moses-jersey , though, so I’m not ready to pass any final judgments.Regardless, with a huge amount of help from Adrian Peterson, Washington’s offense has been good enough to get them to this point, and there’s no reason to think they won’t have a big game against a Giants team that just voluntarily parted ways with two defensive starters.Yet, Redskins fans are understandably guarded in their optimism. They’ve seen this movie before. And, in recent seasons, it hasn’t ended well. Last week, I said that the Cowboys game represented a chance for Washington to take a real step forward: “If (and it always seems to come back to “if” for this team) Washington can prevail at home against their biggest rival in a featured, late-afternoon throwback game White Quinton Dunbar Jersey , we’ll know the Redskins are in this race for the long haul.”They did it.And they are.Now comes the other half of the equation. In the parity-driven NFL, the gap between good teams and bad teams isn’t all that large. This isn’t the ACC or the PAC-12, after all.Yet, by all accounts, the 1-6 Giants are a team the Redskins should beat.Even on the road. And that presents this week’s particular test for Washington: Yes, good teams often beat their rivals. And good teams also necessarily sometimes beat other good teams. But what really separates good teams from mediocre teams in the NFL is the fact that good teams almost always beat bad teams. Are the Redskins ready to be a good team?I think they are.I thought they would beat Dallas last week.I thought they would win the NFC East this year.I think they’ll make a statement with a decisive win against the Giants on Sunday.Do that, and Washington will be 5-2, and the front-running can begin in earnest. www.nflshopoutlet.com/jacksonville-jaguars

  27. of the two tight end set Before the Week 3 game on Monday Night Football in Florida vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers http://www.steelerscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-xavier-grimble-jersey , many Pittsburgh Steelers fans wondered what the team saw in tight end Vance McDonald. After all, he had been hurt in 2017 more than he played, and he was following the same trend to start the 2018 season. However, after a vicious stiff-arm, and a 75 yard touchdown run, the fan base caught a glimpse of just what McDonald can bring to the offense. But it goes well beyond his catch and run ability, and extends all the way to different offensive packages the team can deploy on a week-to-week basis. With McDonald healthy and active, it gives the Steelers three capable tight ends, but also allows them to run more of their two tight end sets. With McDonald and Jesse James as the team’s top tight ends, it gives them viable options as both run blockers and pass catchers on any given play. If you want evidence of this fact, look no further than the snap totals from the team’s first win of the season in prime time on Monday night. In the game vs. Tampa Bay Cheap JuJu Smith-Schuster Jersey , Vance McDonald played 48 percent of the snaps (32 of 66), Jesse James played 50 percent (33 of 66) and Xavier Grimble played 24 percent (16 of 66). Prior to Week 3 the team had been unable to ever deploy their tight ends this much due to injury. McDonald missed the Week 1 game vs. the Cleveland Browns, and was working his way back in Week 2 against the Chiefs. Grimble was coming off hand/wrist surgery to start the season, so maybe now, entering Week 4, the Steelers can really see what their group of tight ends can bring to the table with them all healthy. The tight ends were the only positions which stood out from a snap total standpoint. Take a look at some other notes from the game Monday night:OffenseJames Washington logged his most snaps of the season with 40 (61 percent of offensive snaps). After Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Washington, the next highest receiver on the snap total list was Ryan Switzer (7 snaps).James Conner, although not logging a lot of carries Monday, was used as an every down back throughout the game. He played 56 snaps (85 percent) with Stevan Ridley logging 5 snaps.DefenseFor the first time of his young NFL career, Terrell Edmunds played in every snap of a football game (73/73)The outside linebackers shuffled more than usual with Bud Dupree playing 57 snaps (78 percent) Youth Bud Dupree Jersey , T.J. Watt playing 65 snaps (89 percent) and Anthony Chickillo playing 24 snaps (33 percent). For the cornerbacks, Coty Sensabaugh logged more snaps (48) than Artie Burns (25), but both trailed Joe Haden (73) who was coming off a hamstring injury. To see the full list of snap totals, check the chart below or click HERE. With Week 8 of the NFL schedule officially in the books, at least for the AFC North, it’s time to take a look back at those teams who call the AFC North home to see how they fared and what the standings look like after this week’s action. The first goal for each team in the NFL is to win its division. Doing so guarantees both a playoff spot and a home playoff game, so even these early-season games are important when it comes to divisional rankings. Let’s take a spin around the AFC North to check on the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers.Week 8 ResultsCarolina Panthers - 36 Baltimore Ravens - 21Don’t let the score fool you. This game wasn’t that close. Joe Flacco left a lot to be desired, and Lamar Jackson actually threw a touchdown pass. The Steelers come to M&T Bank Stadium Sunday, and if Pittsburgh walks out of Baltimore with a win Womens T. J. Watt Jersey , and Flacco is less than impressive, you can expect the cries for Jackson to start getting louder.Cincinnati Bengals - 37Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 34OTIt looked like the Bengals were going to run away with this game, but Ryan Fitzpatrick took over for the benched Jameis Winston, and Fitzmagic almost struck again. Sending the game into overtime, Randy Bullock nailed a 44-yard field goal to give the Bengals the win. The Bengals win keeps them right in the thick of things after dropping back-to-back games. Pittsburgh Steelers - 33Cleveland Browns - 18The Steelers let the Browns hang around longer than they probably should have, but it was good to see them pull away in the second half. Just think...if not for the free kick gaffe, and the garbage time touchdown, the defense very well could have held the Browns to 6 points. 28. As the final seconds ticked down on the game clock in a silent and largely emptied Heinz Field on Sunday night Womens Artie Burns Jersey , Steelers Nation worldwide received the unhappy message that last Monday’s near collapse during the second half in Tampa hardly had been any fluke, but a precursor of more serious problems in store for the Black-and-gold. After staging another second-quarter rally which knotted the game 14-14 at halftime and raised fans’ hopes for an important victory over their divisional arch-rivals, the much-hyped Steelers’ offense once again went completely dormant for the entire second half — allowing the Baltimore Ravens to snatch a surprisingly easy 26-14 victory. But if not for a couple of Baltimore errors, this game easily could have been over by halftime. In the first quarter, Joe Flacco overthrew a wide-open Michael Crabtree on a play that should have been a certain TD — which would have made the score 21-0. Then, in the second quarter, with the Ravens knocking on the door for another TD, Alex Collins coughed up the ball at the 2-yard line after a hit by Sean Davis, and the fumble was recovered by Terrell Edmunds. Had the Ravens also converted these scoring opportunities, instead of a tie at halftime Cheap Cameron Heyward Jersey , the score would have been 28-14 in Baltimore’s favor. Thus, even during the brief portion of the game when the Steelers appeared to be competitive, that appearance was deceiving. For as much as the Steelers’ offense challenged the Ravens after returning to the field following halftime, they might just as well have gone home for the evening. During the third quarter, the offense stalled three consecutive times and had to punt the ball back to Baltimore. Then, early in the fourth quarter, the offense stalled yet again, punting the ball back to the Ravens with 10:17 remaining in the game. At that point, Baltimore simply rammed the ball down the defense’s throats, killing nearly seven minutes on the clock and culminating in a Justin Tucker field goal that extended Baltimore’s lead to 23-14. With time elapsing on the Steelers’ next-to-last possession Youth Artie Burns Jersey , Ben Roethlisberger’s late throw across the middle — providing a room-service interception for Anthony Levine Sr. — somehow served as the fitting exclamation point for this defeat which likely will go down as one of the most disappointing in the franchise’s history. After passing for 224 yards in the first half, Roethlisberger finished the game with only 274 yards passing, along with an anemic 5.8-yard average per pass. Furthermore, Flacco out-dueled Ben in quarterback rating to the tune of 109.5 to 72.5. In fact, throughout much of the second half, Ben hardly seemed to be on the same page as his receivers — throwing the ball too high, too low or behind them.First-quarter report cardAfter having their hopes raised by halftime — then cruelly shattered as the final quarter wore on — the chorus of boos the Steelers received from their departing home crowd was well-deserved. Viewed as a whole, it’s reasonable to say the Steelers ought to be given a failing grade after Week 4. Their offense only showed up for about one out of four quarters on Sunday night — hardly adequate to win any games in the NFL these days, regardless of opponent. And perhaps surprisingly, this defeat cannot be laid at the feet of the defense http://www.steelerscheapauthenticstore.com/jesse-james-jersey-cheap , because the Ravens were limited to four field goals during the second half. Had the Steelers’ offense performed anywhere close to the lofty preseason expectations of their fans, the Black-and-gold should have been able to score in the 30s and win the game. But alas, the Steelers’ offense virtually (and inexplicably) disappeared for the entire, final 30 minutes of play. With four games and the first quarter of the 2018 regular season in the books, it’s difficult to avoid the conclusion that the Steelers truly are a team in trouble. Although tight end Vance McDonald continued to show that he’s a valuable weapon (provided he’s able to stay healthy), Roethlisberger seems to be out of sync with most of his receivers. For much of the game, Ben seemed never to quite be sure exactly where his receivers were going on the field or how they’d run their routes. It’s also painfully obvious that Ben hasn’t had enough experience in game situations working with players such as James Washington and Ryan Switzer. These players still haven’t been fully integrated into the offense.Realistically, though, we cannot expect much from an offense that produces only 19 rushing yards in an entire game, plus a 5.8-yards-per-catch average. And given the tendency of the Steelers’ offense to utterly disappear for substantial portions of games Cheap Le'Veon Bell Jersey , how can we have any confidence at this point in the Black-and-gold as a playoff or Super Bowl contender? With Week 4 in the books now, it’s no longer premature to make judgments about where the Pittsburgh Steelers stand in their 2018 quest. Based on what we’ve witnessed so far, the Steelers are a team which, despite having a roster chock full ofathletic ability, cannot seem to forge this talent into a cohesive whole. And it seems the longer Pittsburgh remains a perennial playoff contender — but without claiming another championship — the farther away the team slides from that goal. With one quarter of the season finished, Pittsburgh has only a single victory — against a Buccaneers team that was flattened 48-10 by the Chicago Bears on Sunday. In Weeks 5 and 6, the Steelers will first face an Atlanta Falcons team smarting from its last-minute defeat at the hands of the Cincinnati Bengals — followed by a trip to Cincinnati to take on Andy Dalton and Company. If the Steelers’ current devolution continues, and if things don’t markedly improve on both sides of the ball, it’s certainly not beyond the realm of possibility that this team might be sitting at 1-4-1 by the time Week 7 rolls around.Steelers Roster Cuts: Landry Jones highlights the Steelers cuts to reach the 53-man roster The Pittsburgh Steelers, like all other 32 NFL teams http://www.steelerscheapauthenticstore.com/jordan-berry-jersey-cheap , have reached the league’s 53-man mandated roster.
